  3. Hmm, beautiful … but I’m not sure either what they are. Some sort of memorial? The ribbons have people’s names on them, and I see several pearl(?) necklaces. Very intriguing photo, Kristen.

    • It’s an old burial ground, where so-called paupers and prostitutes were buried unnamed. It used to attract grave robbers who’d take the bodies to a nearby hospital and sell them for use in anatomy classes.

  7. Love how this feels like a hoarder’s paradise. I had no idea what was hanging. In fact, after careful study, I’m still not sure. Ribbons. At first I thought it was hanging zippers. Love how hectic and cluttered this is, and then the quiet order of the green trees behind.
    P.S. Hope the trip is fab.
